All insulins are covered at the same co-pay under my insurance – $10/month no matter what brand or number of vials. If the doctor writes that 3 vials is a 30 day supply, it’s $10 for 3 or $20 for 9 if I use the mail order pharmacy.
It sucks that insurance companies try to tell us what medication we should use. They do work differently for different people and it should cost more to use what works best for you.
